"There’s a fine line between the finest Sauvignon Blanc wines and well, not-so-good Sauvignon Blanc. We were skeptics too, but have found magic in the Oregon & Washington soils and climate that delivers year in and year out to make a uniquely Pacific NW take on this global favorite. This wine is all about that balance - lovely fruit brought into perspective by minerality and the desire to just pour yourself another and ponder the great potential for this grape in this region!

Myron Redford is a legend in Oregon's wine industry. Always experimenting, sometimes successfully and sometimes not, with grapes like Gamay Noir, Albarino, and yes, Sauvignon Blanc. He and his partner Vikki Wetle planted a small 7.5 acre certified organic vineyard on Jory, Yamhill & Woodburn soils at their home property in the Eola-Amity Hills in 2006, which includes the Sauvignon Blanc that makes up about half of our “La Frontière.”

The certified organically farmed Allegre Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc from Fruilian clones, our first vineyard in the Columbia Gorge, makes up the remaining half of this cuvée. Jen Kroner and Pat Allegre are some of the Hood River area's finest growers of not only grapes, but premium quality cherries and orchard fruit, all nestled between Mt Hood and Mt Adams, our biggest volcanoes in the region."-Winery
