The 2018 Tinto Quinta da Pellada Woman Label is a blend of all seven blocks of the Pellada properties (unlike the 2018 Pellada in this report). It is a field blend from old vines aged for four years in well-used French oak. The winery has only made this seven-block blend once before, in 2003. Showing beautifully, this is elegant and complex, with moderate tannins and lush texture. The finish is long and persistent, even while nothing is harsh or astringent. This is a beauty that is hard to resist. It will also age well, maybe better than indicated. The name is sort of made up here; it doesn't appear on the label. It just describes the picture compared to the regular Pellado.

95 Luis Gutierrez - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

The 2018 Pelada is a wine Castro made together with Dirk Niepoort for the first time in 2003 and tried to replicate. It is elegant and drinkable but with complexity and depth. It has citrus freshness, notes of acid berries and very fine tannins.
