2022 Feudi Di San Gregorio Fiano De Avellino
89 Eric Guido - Vinous Media
The 2022 Fiano di Avellino is understated with white flowers, stone dust and nectarine. There’s a pretty inner sweetness up front that’s complicated by mineral-tinged acidity as crisp orchard fruits cascade throughout. This finishes with a salty flourish and lime nuances.

Concentrated but not weighty, this has an ethereal quality to its attractive licorice, cherry pie and fragrant incense notes, shored up with chalky tannins and a dusting of graphite that offsets the warmth. Beautifully textured, with bitter plum and mineral notes alternating with holiday spices and apple wood smoke stretching out across the finish. Drink now through 2040. 100 cases made, 35 cases imported.

Full-bodied, concentrated and showing lots of new-oak flavors, this bold wine is ripe, firmly structured with tannins and acidity and offers a lot of spicy cedary accents. A good core of blackberry and black cherry is up to the task of filling out the textured and woody frame. — Jim Gordon

A luscious and generous effort with depth and fine acidity. Anything but austere yet balanced and elegant; fresh, stylish, and long.
90 William Kelley - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Pillowy and charming, the latest rendition of Delamotte's NV Brut offers up attractive aromas of orchard fruit, fresh bread and citrus oil. Medium to full-bodied, seamless and elegant, with a pretty pinpoint mousse and lively balancing acids, it's drinking well out of the gates but will also develop gracefully for a few years in the cellar.

2019 Casanova Di Neri Brunello Di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova Sangiovese from Italy

2019 Casanova Di Neri Brunello Di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova
100 Luca Gardini - GardiniNotes.com
"Hints of cherry and pepper leaves, with touches of iodine. Opens on the palate juicy and taut, then expands in breadth and depth. Brackish-sapid tannins and an officinal trace mark the finish is deep, great drink and long persistence."
99 J. D'Angelo - International Wine Report
The 2019 ‘Tenuta Nuova’ Brunello di Montalcino is always one of the most exciting wines from the region and it is once again nothing short of brilliant. This begins to impress with gorgeous ripe characteristics of blackberries and dark cherries along with warm exotic spices, crushed wildflowers, toasted nuances, and hints of wild herbs that all form the incredibly nuanced aromatics. The palate is medium to full-bodied and remarkably structured with beautifully defined contours. This goes on to impress with outstanding concentration and balance, with a beautiful ripe core which is underlined by a lovely streak of acidity that provides wonderful freshness heading into the long finish. This is an utterly fascinating wine from Casanova de Neri that should be quite accessible in its youth and go on to offer a drinking window that should easily spans two decades.
97 Monica Larner - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"In my mind, this is the wine that best represents the Casanova di Neri house style. With 30 months of aging in tonneaux, it shows enormous richness and texture, and the stellar fruit quality appears with more primary elegance compared to the more expensive Cerretalto that is released with an extra year of aging. That dynamic is especially pronounced in a comparison of the 2019 and 2018 vintages. The 2019 Brunello di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova has a dark vein of toasted spice, black fruit, ink, blackberry compote, licorice and star anise. Dark as night, it is exceptionally well crafted with a robust delivery of concentrated fruit and solid tannic structure. You can count on excellent cellar potential, or at a minimum, serve it with a classic steak. Production is exactly 69,696 bottles."
97 Audrey Frick - jebdunnuck.com
A jeweled ruby color, the 2019 Brunello Di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova takes things to the next level at this estate. Offering a deeply layered bouquet of kirsch, dark chocolate, crushed rosemary, and lavender oils, on the palate it’s rich with flavors of blood orange oils, velvety tannins, warming spice, and a long finish that soars above and beyond, with saline accents taking it to the next level. The bouquet in incredible and keeps going for ages. It spent 36 months in 500-liter used barrels Drink 2026-2046.

2020 Paitin Barbaresco Serraboella Nebbiolo from Italy
#142138 750 mL
2020 Paitin Barbaresco Serraboella
95 Monica Larner - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
With fruit from a celebrated site in the village of Neive with its rolling hills and wide panoramas, this is a lean and shiny ruby-colored wine. The Paitin 2020 Barbaresco Serraboella is ethereal and luminous in appearance; however, the aromas offer strength and a bold character. There is bright berry fruit, but the bigger takeaways are savory nuances of licorice, iris root and even an exotic note of teakwood or mahogany. This is an impeccably elegant wine with 10,000 bottles made. It stands out in this flight.

"Notes of ripe, juicy, fleshy plum and ripe black cherry marry on the fruity nose. The palate follows through and presents vivid, juicy, smoke-tinged plum with a hint of toastiness. The body is smooth and curvy, with a fine contour of vivid freshness. An elegant red with potential. Drink now–2032."
