Bay leaf, thyme, roasted black currants and black cherries jump out of the glass from the start. As the wine opens, aromas of pencil lead, coffee grounds and cocoa combine with the lush fruits. The palate is soft and silky with black-currant flavors taking center stage. Fine tannins and a dash of bright acidity support the wine on the finish.

The 2022 Langhe Nebbiolo is an absolute joy. Rose petal, cinnamon, crushed flowers, mint and kirsch are all beautifully lifted. Lively acids and veins of tannin lend shape as well as a palpable saline-infused energy. The 2022 is pure pleasure.

Glass-staining ruby. Fresh cherry, blackberry, candied licorice, bacon and potpourri aromas are complemented by a smoky mineral top note. Bright and energetic on the palate, offering focused red and dark berry, cracked pepper and floral pastille flavors with a suggestion of salty olive. Finishes with smoky mineral and floral notes, harmonious tannins and very good tenacity. Drink 2025-2033

92 James Suckling - Jamessuckling.com
A lovely, flavorful rosé with sliced peaches and strawberries. Medium to full body. Very bright and flavorful. Fine bubbles. Delicious finish. Clear and vivid. Drink now.
This sparkling wine is a majority of Pinot Noir, with Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. It is aromatic in strawberry and cream tones that follow through to the palate. Rose petal, wet stone and lemon peel provide complementary brightness
90 Wine Spectator
Blended of about two-thirds Pinot Noir and one-third Chardonnay with a splash of Pinot Meurnier, the NV Brut Rose sports a very pale salmon-pink color, delivering notes of wild strawberries, McIntosh apples and raspberry leaves with a hint of chalk dust. The palate offers seriously zippy red berries and apple flavors with an impressively fine mousse and well-balanced finish

2020 Penfolds Bin 389 Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz
96 Erin Larkin - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Looking in on the 389 can be "'can be," she says, parenthetically) a good insight into what we can expect from the upcoming Grange. Now, they are very different wines, no question, however, stylistically they have much in common and the illumination into the season that birthed the wines in each instance. Here, the 2020 Bin 389 Cabernet Shiraz has consummate polish and sleek tannins, imbued as they are with graphite, black tea, licorice and resin. The fruit is pure and black and chewy... gorgeous wine. And it lives for decades. This has always been a collector's dream and continues so through this vintage. Highly recommended.
96 James Suckling - Jamessuckling.com
Very rich, ripe and intense, this has plenty of depth and is one of the strongest statements of Penfolds’ house style. Rich vanillin and sweetly spicy American oak on the nose, with chocolate, blueberry, violet, blackberry and iodine notes. The palate delivers quite approachable and supple texture, smoothly fleshy and inviting. Flavors of blackberry, blackcurrant and mulberry abound. Deep and ripe finish with nutty tannins to close. A blend of McLaren Vale, Barossa Valley and Padthaway. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
94 Wine Spectator
Dense and succulent, with velvety tannins and a core of spiced plum and blackberry. The details and aromatics take this wine to the next level -- reminiscent of dark chocolate and Black Forest cake, Kalamata olive, nutmeg and palo santo. Gains momentum on the long, expressive finish. Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. Drink now through 2037. 14,605 cases imported.

91 Luis Gutierrez - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The wines are quite transparent with the character of the vintages, and this is the case for the 2017 SeñorÃo de P. Peciña Crianza. It's a little more developed, showing some tertiary aromas plus the spices from the American oak barrels where the wine matured for 24 months. It was bottled with 14.28% alcohol and a pH of 3.66. The palate is polished and has a fine chalky sensation and tasty flavors. 100,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in October 2020.

Full-bodied with a silky texture and lots of raisin and sultana character. Dense spice and some shellfish mineral, too. The fine-grained tannins drive the palate and provide a long finish. Nicely done, to drink now or hold.
